| About Us

| Roots & Shoots is a program of the Jane Goodall
Institute, giving youth of all ages the opportunity to improve our world through
service-learning projects promoting care and concern for the environment, the human
community, and animals. Our chapter was launched on January 10, 2007, at a public forum sponsored by the Comal County Universalists. Our first meeting was held on January 21st. We had over 25 people in attendance and, in addition to discussing community service needs for New Braunfels, Texas, we jumped right in with our first project.
